Pervious Pavers

When subsurface conditions are well drained and have high infiltration rates, pervious pavers can decrease stormwater runoff to zero under most storm events. Adding a pervious paver system can decrease the need for added real estate for stormwater retention while also minimizing the need for underground stormwater infrastructure. When installed properly, pervious pavers also have a longer life expectancy than typical asphalt applications.

24th Avenue North Ocean Outfall, City of Myrtle Beach - The 24th Avenue North Ocean Outfall project is the {4th} ocean outfall project contracted with the City of Myrtle Beach. DDC completed the preliminary drainage studies and associated reports pertaining to this basin in 1997. The project involves replacing the existing twin 36-inch beach outfall with a double 2-84” PCCP pipe, currently located near 24th Avenue North, with a deep-water ocean outfall extending 1,500+/- linear feet out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Panama City Beach Front Beach Stormwater Offshore Outfall, Florida

"
This offshore outfall project is the first of its kind in the Panama City Beach area"

The combining of two (2) existing beach outfalls “Calypso” and “Lullwater” are the core focus of this highly populated area surrounded by hotels, restaurants and visited by millions of tourists each year. The project entails installing twin 84” PCCP diameter pipes buried approximately 1,500 lf under the sea floor in order to improve water quality before the stormwater is released into the Gulf of Mexico.
