4th Avenue North Ocean Outfall, Myrtle Beach, SC - This large scale drainage improvement and ocean outfall project is located in the southern portion of the City of Myrtle Beach’s DRC area. DDC provided the surveying, design, water quality, document preparation, construction observation and administrative tasks for this project. The project consists of an oceanfront header pipe that picks up all of the existing beach stormwater outfall pipes from 1st Avenue South to 9th Avenue North. The header pipe ties in to the ocean outfall pipe which has been installed under the ocean floor for a distance of 1,300 linear feet off-shore in the Atlantic Ocean.

This project received US EPA's Performance and Innovation in the SRF Creating Environmental Success (PISCES) recognition in 2017.
